White Wind, Gravity, Flesh Flayer, Flesh Cleaver, Battle Thirst, Brave Robber, buffs, debuffs, and status ailment moves are seemingly unaffected. Testing showed that Off the Chain did about 3 times the normal damage (Spirit Leech/Steal Spirit stole about 3 times the normal MP). The effect of Off the Chain (obtained at level 12) is currently accepted to be increasing the power of the attack selected. This means that damage will still cap at 9999 even with Surpassing Power equipped and physical skills of weaker enemies will likely miss if you use them against stronger enemies.
The power/accuracy of the attack is based off of the stats of the monster that you captured and the attacks are unaffected by your stats and/or passive skills. Please DM me or comment here if you have any information that I have missed and what you did to test out that got you that info so that I may repeat the test. I have every skill obtainable listed and I worded the effects of the moves as closely as I could to the descriptions of similar moves in other jobs, but the effects of some skills are not completely confirmed the information I have gathered in this guide are based off of what I saw in testing (Sorry, you got clickbaited). Since Bravely Default II does a pretty bad job of listing out what each captured monster's abilities are, I decided to compile and list all the skills obtainable through Capture and what effects they have.
